Premier League: West Ham pile on misery for woeful Manchester United | Football News

New Delhi: jarrod bowen And Mohammad Qudus West Ham won 2-0 by scoring a goal in the second half. Manchester United In Premier LeagueEarly game on Saturday.
With the win the Hammers briefly moved into the top six of the table.
Coming off the back of a shock 5-1 defeat to Liverpool in the League Cup in midweek, West Ham have moved up to 30 points, while United have fallen a disappointing eighth to eighth on 28 points.
Under-critic boss Eric ten Hag's side were left stunned by a late night attack at the London Stadium that handed them their eighth Premier League defeat this season.
Eighth-placed United have managed just one win from seven matches in all competitions.
They have lost three of their last four matches and have failed to score a goal in any of them for the first time since 1992.
It's another crushing blow for Ten Hag, whose increasingly tenuous grip on his job will certainly be the first thing Jim Ratcliffe will have to resolve when the British billionaire eventually completes his purchase of 25 percent of the club.
Ratcliffe is reportedly set to take control of United's football operations as part of a deal with American owners and he will arrive at Old Trafford to find the club at the lowest level in their illustrious history.
It has been a second poor season for Ten Hag, who were eliminated from Europe after finishing bottom of their Champions League group and also out of the League Cup.
Ten Hag believes United can “change the narrative” after key players return from injury.
But this pitiful capitulation against a team thrashed 5-1 by Liverpool's reserves in Wednesday's League Cup quarter-final underlined how deeply United have sunk beneath the embattled Dutchman.
After serving raw chicken to guests last month, the local council confirmed this week that United's food hygiene rating had been reduced from five to one.
Unfortunate diners aren't the only United-related people who have felt uneasy this season.
United have lost 13 games in all competitions this season – their most defeats before Christmas since 1930–31, when they finished bottom of the table.
Stopping their rapid decline currently looks beyond Ten Hag.
With Diogo Delot, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane absent, 19-year-old Willy Kambwala made his United debut in central defence.
West Ham were quick to test United's raw French youngster, as Emerson headed in a low strike which forced Andre Onana to make a save.
Marcus Rashford was left on the bench for the second consecutive game after scoring just two league goals this season, but United's weak attack was hardly improved by his relegation.
Devoid of rhythm and confidence, Ten Haag's men struggled to establish even the slightest bit of momentum as they failed to extend last weekend's tough draw at Liverpool.
It took more than half an hour for United to have a shot on target when Antony's well-taken effort was easily caught by Alphonse Areola.
Alejandro Garnacho, one of three teenagers in United's line-up, missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock with a weak shot straight at Areola from close range.
After returning from suspension, United captain Bruno Fernandes again showed his highly criticized reckless nature as he earned a booking for unnecessarily swiping at Kudus.
Onana equalized for United with a superb tip-over to deflect Bowen's header.
Rashford came on in place of unnamed Rasmus Hjolund after 56 minutes, furthering the Danish striker's disappointing performance in his debut season.
When Fernandes sent an unmarked effort into the stands, there were growing murmurs of discontent among United's traveling fans.
Lucas Paqueta's brilliant chip pass opened up the United defense and Bowen made a timely run to beat the offside trap before firing past Onana for his 11th league goal of the season.
United were in disarray and Qudus delivered the knockout blow after six minutes.
Reflecting their dreadful performance, Kobi Mainu carelessly conceded possession and Kudus worked quickly to drill a low strike past Onana from the edge of the area.
