Alaska Airlines: ‘How the hell…’: Pastor smacks wife on flight after she got upgraded to first class



A pastor slapped his wife Alaska Airlines The woman was upgraded to first class on the flight from Seattle to Anchorage, but the pastor was not. The incident happened on Flight 275 on July 2, when passengers witnessed a violent altercation between the couple. The Independent reported that a criminal complaint was filed against the pastor.
The complaint, filed July 3, says the couple was traveling from their home in Virginia to Alaska, where they were scheduled to attend a meeting “related to their ministry.” It says the Holmbergs had known each other for about 20 years, and married about a year and a half ago, following the death of Holmberg’s previous wife.
It was a 3.5 hour flight and three separate meetings took place between the pastor and his wife.
In the first case, the pastor asked his wife: 'How did you get that upgrade?' The pastor's wife was upset at how she was questioned. She hit back at her husband, telling him: 'Don't talk to me like that.' She is a Gold Point member.
During the second conversation, the pastor walked up to his wife, handed her his phone and asked her to read the screen. “He pointed a finger at her,” the complaint states.
In the third altercation, he “pushed” the woman sitting in his wife's seat and tried to move his arm towards her. The wife later said that this was not the first incident and that she had once broken a finger.
According to the complaint, an FBI special agent, along with an Anchorage Airport Police officer, met the plane when it landed at 6:41 p.m.
The complaint states that Holmberg's wife, who had no visible injuries or blood on her body, told officers that her husband “had a history of abusing her,” and told a story about Holmberg breaking her finger last September. She said Holmberg “hit her in the head with the back of his fingers” on the plane, and that Holmberg “knew this was happening.” [she] had epilepsy and was contacted [her] “A blow to the head can cause a seizure,” the complaint states.
The pastor said he was upset about his wife being upgraded to first class because he wanted her to sit next to him. He said he did not hit her but just patted her on the head.
